Early Life & Education

Tapan Kumar Dutta, who used to work at Life Insurance Corporation and Shikha Dutta, were her parents when she was born on August 26th, 1990 in a Bengali Kayastha Hindu family in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.

She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies from a reputable Mumbai college. While studying at college, Ishita also took part in acting workshops at Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares Academy, which provided her with formal training in acting and stage performance.

Career

In the 2012 Telugu romantic drama 'Chanakyudu', she made her debut as an actress, along with Tanish. In 2013, she played Poonam in Star Plus' primetime show 'Ek Ghar Banaunga' and in 2016, she had an appearance in Life OK's 'Rishton ka Saudagar-Baazigar'. In 2015, she played the lead role in the Kannada comedy 'Raja Rajendra,' which was mostly well-received.

Making her Bollywood debut, Ishita bagged a role in the remake of the superhit Malayalam movie Drishyam, titled the same in the Hindi remake, playing the role of Anju, and was cast alongside Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Tabu.
